We would like to invite you to the next Lulofs Symposium and post-symposium drink, both taking place at our familiar UvA Science Park 904 location! On Thursday August 28, we will start at 15:00 in hall C0.110 for presentations. We have put together the following program for you:
- Emiel van Loon & Carina Hoorn (program directors of the BSc Future Planet Studies and MSc Earth Sciences, respectively) will give a short update on current developments in both programs.
- Richard Ott (Assistant Professor for Landscape Evolution and Geomorphology at the IBED, UvA) will talk about mountain building and biodiversity in the Andes.
- Freek Pals (Recently graduated MSc student Earth Sciences at UvA) will talk about his research on the geodiversity assessment of remote areas.
- Harry Seijmonsbergen (Assistant Professor at the IBED, UvA) will give a talk titled "Lithium, Manganese, and Mountains: Geodiversity at Work".
After the formal program, we will continue with drinks and a snack to catch up with your fellow alumni!
