Nominate your candidate for the Johannes Lulofs medal

As shared in the newsletter from January this year, we are looking for candidates for our association’s Johannes Lulofs Medal.
Once in a while Lulofs awards the Lulofs Medal to a member that made an exceptional contribution to the field of physical geography.
We have set up a questionnaire for members can make suggestions of suitable candidates for the committee:

Webinar series Spring 2021 recordings (Dutch)

For those who missed last years webinar series or who would like to re-watch the presentations by our selection of alumni, the recordings will be available through the upcoming newsletter (January 2022). If you would like to be able to watch these, make sure to sign up as a member on the Lulofs membership page.

The speakers gave their presentation in Dutch, but the visuals and slides are mostly in English!

Welcome to the Lulofs website

Welcome to our updated website, with a fresh and new look for our webpage for the alumni association Lulofs – or alumnivereniging Lulofs – that accommodates a few much-needed improvements on membership registration and content-sharing for all our members.

During the first few months of 2021, we have migrated all content from the old website onto this new page together with updates, newsletters and other content for our members.

It’s now super easy to become a member after you graduate: just navigate to the Lulofs membership page to sign up for our newsletters and invitations for online webinars, symposia and other social events lined up for this year.

Current members can update their own contact details (i.e. graduation year, your study at the UvA or whether you are a former employee associated with the studies). This option can be found through the ‘Modify your subscription’ link attached at the bottom of all our newsletters, just check the latest one in your inbox.
